Narrated/wildlife/lunch cruises depart Homer daily at 12 noon aboard our tour boat “Bay Explorer”. Travel across picturesque Kachemak Bay to Gull Island and on to Otter Cove Resort and The Rookery Restaurant . Keep your eye out along the way for sea birds, sea otters, whales, sea lions and other sea creatures that inhabit this beautiful Bay. Once you arrive at Otter Cove you will be treated to a hearty lunch. Boat departs Otter Cove at 3PM and arrives in the Homer harbor at 3:30.

Dinner cruises depart Homer daily at 6 PM. Enjoy fresh local seafood including oysters, clams, salmon and halibut. Soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and appetizers are part of our extensive menu. For dinner you might want to select from our "starters" menu which includes fresh oysters, clams, crab cakes or our unique Asian calamari.  Entrees include a variety of local seafood, great steaks, soups, and salads.  Vegetarian options are also available -  just ask your server.

An excellent variety of beer and wine is available. After you have eaten you have the option to sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view, visit the cozy lounge, gift shop or take a short walk on the beach. 

Drop ins are always welcome. If you have your own boat you are welcome to stop in and join us for lunch or dinner.

Gull Island Lunch & Wildlife Cruise
Join us for a narrated cruise to the famous bird rookery at Gull Island. This is a great way to see puffins, cormorants, kittiwakes, and other migratory seabirds while you learn about their diets, habits and migratory patterns. We also visit 60 Foot Rock to see the Sea Otters which are often found there carrying their newborn pups on their stomachs. Lunch at the new Rookery Restaurant is also included in the cruise. Truly a great trip for the whole family!
